How much does Microcemento cost?

Many people ask us how much Microcemento floors and walls cost. Given their craftsmanship, each work must be individually quoted. The price will vary according to different factors, such as the size and type of surfaces, the type of support to be coated, etc. It is therefore essential to carry out an on-site inspection in order to determine its price.

What is Microcemento?

Microcemento is the brand to distinguish Pancotti’s flagship product. With it we wanted to recreate the effect of industrial concrete through the shades of gray, in the CEMENT and LIGHT CEMENT version. Its formulation takes place through the refining of 20 different mineral parts and additives suitable for improving their performance. The peculiarity is that with a single product it is possible to cover any type of surface, tiles, glass mosaics, woods, plasters, plasterboards and much more. It can even be used outdoors for terraces, sidewalks, pool edges, garages and stairs.

Can Microcemento finish also be used for walls?

Yes, it is suitable for covering any type of surface, even vertical ones. It can be applied on plasterboard or plastered walls, it can cover tiles and marble.

I would like a uniform effect with no dark light effects, is it possible?

It is not possible to obtain a completely uniform effect in Microcemento brand floors. This finish was designed to give surfaces similar effects to concrete. Available in two versions: cement and light cement. For a uniform effect, refer to Unicum.

Can I have the Microcemento finish in the bathroom?

Microcemento surfaces can also be laid in the bathroom. Thanks to a water-repellent treatment, they do not fear humidity or water.

Is Microcemento a resin?

No. Microcemento is the trademark that distinguishes a mineral and non-chemical finish such as resin; it can also be used outdoors, while the resin is not recommended. It is colored by hand with mineral oxides while for the resin chemical dyes are used for this reason it does not undergo color variations over time while the resin tends to lose color. Microcemento gives a natural effect to your environment and does not release harmful substances into the air for adults and children, while the resin has a “plastic” type effect.

Microcemento do-it-yourself?

Microcemento surfaces are intended for professional use only. In order to guarantee architectural realizations of high quality standards, Pancotti Superfici suggests buying its products only through qualified personnel. The laying techniques require some basic notions which are fundamental.

How is a Microcemento  surface colored?

The color is given by powdered minerals mixed directly in the laboratory. With this technique, in addition to obtaining effects of priceless naturalness, the color can be maintained over time. It is therefore not a paint or a resin spread on the floor.

Does the color of the floor change when exposed to the sun?

The colors remain unchanged over time because they form a whole with the Microcemento floor. Being of mineral origin they do not undergo chromatic variations, they do not turn yellow like resins. Pancotti floors have been built for more than 10 years in areas characterized by very hot climates, keeping their aesthetic characteristics unchanged.

I have underfloor heating: can I have a Microcemento floor?

Microcemento flooring has obtained the best results in terms of thermal conductivity compared to any other flooring system. By optimizing the costs of your system, you will find “lighter” bills.

Can I apply a Microcemento finish on tiles?

Yes, due to its strong adhesion it can be applied on practically any type of stable surface.

How do you clean a Microcemento?

Cleaning Pancotti floors is very simple. The practical maintenance kit contains all the necessary products. It can be useful to periodically treat the floor with protective products based on self-polishing waxes in water dispersion or beeswax. Soap, acid, ammonia, chlorine or any abrasive cleaning products are strictly prohibited. We recommend using only NON-AGGRESSIVE neutral pH detergents. If not, use hot water. If oil, coffee or other liquids fall, does the floor get stained?

The Hydroprotection protective or Protech Pancotti system perfectly meets the needs of the end customer. In principle, even if the surface treatment effectively protects the floor from the rapid penetration of accidentally spilled liquids, it is good to remember that all liquid substances, especially those most used in the home such as wine, oils, vinegar, coffee, must be quickly removed from all surfaces before they can penetrate deeply.

Is it possible to create a Microcemento floor also outdoors?

Yes. In the case of outdoor applications, it will be essential to evaluate together with the applicator the finish of the floor which must be non-slip and the most suitable protective treatment. NH Hotel in Milan has chosen Microcemento for the hotel entrance.

Can stairs and vertical surfaces also be coated with Microcemento?

Of course, it is possible to create stairs or even vertical surfaces. Since these are projects that require special processes, it is important to evaluate together with a certified applicator the most suitable technical solution to achieve the final result requested by you.

What is the difference between Microtopping and Microcemento?

Microcemento is an exclusive trademark of Pancotti, any improper use constitutes an abuse. The substantial difference therefore is that Microtopping and Microcemento are two different brands, made by different companies and therefore bearers of different aesthetics and quality.

Are Microcemento surfaces safe for health?

Yes, after numerous tests it has been shown that Microcemento® brand surfaces do not release harmful substances into the air for adults and children.
